Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a seasoned Travel PCU RN to join a dynamic team at a leading healthcare facility in Watertown, NY. This challenging 13-week, night shift assignment is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Requirements:

• Active NYS RN license.
• Minimum 2 year's of critical care experience preferred.
• Previous Travel experience required
• IV and IV contrast certification required.
• Prior experience with coronary care or willingness to complete a challenge exam.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
• NIHSS certification with the first 6 month of employment

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to medically complex patients in the PCU setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Possess strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, notifying the healthcare team promptly of any changes or abnormalities
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-management techniques
• Document all patient care activities accurately and maintain detailed medical records
