Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lafayette, IN. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures
  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies during surgery
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Assist in setting up the operating room for a variety of surgeries
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure the best outcomes for patients
  • Document surgical procedures and sterilization processes
  • Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are positioned properly for optimal surgical access

Job Details:

  • Location: Lafayette, IN
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4x10's hours per week
  • Specialties: General, Orthopedic, Spine, Neuro, GYN, ENT, Robotics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, Open Heart

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience
  • BLS certification required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
  • Experience in general surgery and multiple specialties
  • Robotics training highly preferred
  • Vascular and Open Heart experience is a plus, but not required
