Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn, located just outside Detroit, is a dynamic city offering rich cultural experiences, local attractions, and a thriving arts scene. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team by preparing and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for surgery
  • Ensure the operating room is properly set up and maintained throughout the procedure
  • Maintain a sterile environment and assist with infection control protocols
  • Provide support during orthopedic and neurosurgery procedures, including preparing instruments and supplies
  • Work with surgeons and nurses to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
  • Document all procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping for patient care

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist 
  • Experience with Ortho and/or Neurosurgery is required
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, particularly in Ortho and Neurosurgery
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
