Job Description

MRI Technologist – Augusta, Maine

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract in Augusta, Maine. This role involves delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Schedule:
This position requires an alternating weekly schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Week 2: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Review patient history and physician orders to ensure appropriate imaging.
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Monitor and ensure patient safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
  • Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate records in EPIC or similar PACS systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience.
  • ARRT certification is required.
  • Maine State Radiologic Technologist License is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Contract Details:

  • 13-week assignment.
  • Day shift schedule with alternating weekly shifts.
