Registered Nurse – Adult Med/Surg Units
13-Week Contract in Syracuse, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Adult Med/Surg units on a night shift schedule (7 PM - 7:30 AM). This position requires a professional with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records. The ideal candidate is skilled in starting IVs, drawing labs, and monitoring telemetry.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive patient care and conduct thorough nursing assessments in an acute care setting.
Administer IVs, draw labs, and monitor telemetry as required.
Adhere to the set schedule, including working every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major seasonal holidays.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications:

Active New York State RN license.
Certified in BLS and eligible for recertification.
At least 1.5 years of recent experience in an acute care facility of similar size and level (within the last 2 years).
Previous Level 1 or 2 trauma center experience preferred.
EPIC EMR experience is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background checks.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
