Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery / Women and Infant Services
Location: Springfield, IL
Night Shift
13-Week Contract

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Women and Infant Services team in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to women during the labor and postpartum period, while also ensuring the well-being of both mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
  • Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal well-being.
  • Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
  • Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, including obstetricians, neonatologists, and nursing staff.
  • Educate patients and families on childbirth preparation, recovery, and newborn care.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during the entire delivery process.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery or Women and Infant Services experience.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
