Traveling Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Location: Rochester, NY
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our team in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing IR procedures and will hold an active NYS license, be BLS certified, and possess VIR certification. This is a travel position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced medical environment while exploring a beautiful region of New York.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physicians in the performance of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to angiography, biopsies, catheter placements, and other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Operate and maintain IR equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure the highest standards of patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Accurately document patient records and procedural notes.
Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure all safety standards are met.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Active and unencumbered NYS Radiologic Technologist license.
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
VIR (Vascular Interventional Radiology) certification.
Strong understanding of IR procedures and equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous travel experience in similar settings.
Experience with various IR procedures across different medical conditions.
