Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse Location: DuBois, Pennsylvania Schedule: Full-Time, 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in DuBois, PA. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment, such as cardiopulmonary bypass machines.
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile and safe operating environment.
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and post-operative care.
Participate in rotating on-call schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, with at least 1 year in cardiovascular surgeries.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CVOR equipment.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
CNOR certification.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
