Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality echocardiograms (ECHO) on patients according to physician orders and department protocols.
Ensure accurate patient positioning, equipment calibration, and optimal image acquisition during procedures.
Provide excellent patient care and comfort, explaining procedures and answering questions as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring proper documentation of procedures and imaging results.
Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of echocardiography equipment.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in echocardiography and attend relevant continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field.
Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
BLS certification required.
Previous experience performing echocardiograms preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of echocardiography techniques and equipment.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
