Now Hiring: Radiology/CT Technologist Day Shift | Illinois
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Radiology & CT Technologist for a hospital-based contract opportunity in Chicago. This role involves performing diagnostic CT exams under general supervision, providing patient care, and assisting with departmental quality initiatives.
Position Overview:
Shift: 11:00 AM 7:30 PM, 5 days/week
Schedule: Every other weekend + 50% on-call rotation
Location: Hospital setting in Chicago, IL
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment (Siemens Somatom Emotion 6-slice CT and portable GE/Mobile Dart X-ray)
Verify patient identity and review medical history for exam appropriateness
Assess patient risk factors and explain procedures thoroughly, including side effects, risks, and follow-up
Acquire and review images, documenting exceptions and communicating with radiologists
Respond to medical emergencies and provide post-care instructions as prescribed
Support process improvement and quality initiatives within the radiology department
Assist in educating residents, students, and new staff
May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent Radiology & CT experience in a hospital setting
ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology and CT
Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Certification required
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
Experience with Siemens CT and portable imaging equipment preferred
