Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, with a focus on Cath Lab and Peripheral procedures.
For RN: Experience with conscious sedation, titrating, and managing drips.
For RTR: Strong experience scrubbing and panning in IR procedures.
Hybrid IR experience is a plus, but not required.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to the dynamic nature of interventional procedures.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with an emphasis on patient care.
Licensure and Certifications:
For RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred.
For RTR: BLS, ACLS, WI License, RCIS preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform interventional radiology procedures including cath lab and peripheral cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
For RN: Administer conscious sedation and titrate/manage drips during procedures.
For RTR: Scrub in and assist with procedures, including panning and maintaining sterile technique.
Monitor and track patient conditions during procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
Provide patient education on procedures, prepping, and recovery as needed.
Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
As permanent staff, monitor cases and provide ongoing support throughout procedures.
Follow all hospital policies and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
