Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel CVOR Tech for a 13-week contract at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Oak Lawn, IL. Oak Lawn, located just southwest of Chicago, offers a great suburban environment with easy access to the city's cultural attractions, restaurants, and entertainment.

Position Details:

Location: Oak Lawn, IL
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days

Duties:

Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries
Assist surgeons during open-heart procedures, CABGs, and other trauma cases
Select and manage surgical instruments and equipment for each procedure
Ensure proper sterilization and setup of instruments and supplies
Scrub in for adult open-heart cases and pediatric surgeries
Monitor and maintain sterile techniques during operations
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years CVOR CST experience in an acute care setting
Active BLS (AHA) certification
Active NBSTSA certification
Experience scrubbing for adult open heart cases

Surgical Case Types:

Trauma: Gunshot wounds (GSW), stabbings
Transplant: Kidney and heart transplants, donor cases
General Surgery: GYN, urology, robotic, vascular, ortho, neuro
Cardiovascular: Adult open hearts, CABGs
Pediatric Cases: 20% of caseload, including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
