Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is looking for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an 8-week travel assignment in Utica, New York. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside a dedicated surgical team in a city known for its historic charm, beautiful landscapes, and vibrant arts scene.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years of related experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
Must have scrub experience
Valid certification as an OR Tech through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
Prior travel experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the operating rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members to maintain an efficient and smooth workflow
Ensure proper handling and care of specimens, labeling them accurately and promptly transporting them to the designated areas
Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe and effective patient care
Adhere to strict sterile techniques, infection control protocols, and patient confidentiality regulations
