Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is looking for an experienced Travel Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week assignment in Olympia Fields, IL. This position offers a great opportunity for a surgical technologist with expertise in various surgical specialties, including total joint, spine, bariatric, and robotic surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile field, handling instruments, and providing support to the surgical team.
Scrub for a wide range of cases, including total joint, spine, bariatric, robotic surgeries, and general surgery procedures such as urology and gynecology.
Ensure patient safety by adhering to all surgical protocols and maintaining aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff to ensure efficient and successful procedures.
Maintain and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Preferred Skillset/Experience:

Experience in scrubbing vitrectomies is preferred.

Type of Patients on Unit:

Elective, urgent, and emergent surgical patients in specialties such as general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology.

Job Requirements:

2+ years of experience scrubbing in total joint, spine, bariatric, and robotic cases required.
CST certification required.
Experience with a wide variety of surgical cases and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Details:

Duration: 13 weeks.
Shift: Day shifts with possible weekend or on-call requirements.
Location: Olympia Fields, IL – A vibrant suburban community with easy access to the cultural amenities of Chicago.
