Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Ithaca, NY. Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, Ithaca offers breathtaking natural scenery, cultural attractions, and

Requirements:

Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Proficiency in sterilization techniques, decontamination, and instrument preparation.
Knowledge of infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
Inspect instruments for functionality and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing environment.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure timely availability of instruments.
Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
