Position Overview:
Sunbelt is seeking a fully licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school district in Yorktown, IN, to work for the remainder of the school year. The OT will work with students ranging from PreK-12th grade, addressing needs such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students’ development and contributing to their academic and functional success in the school setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall occupational functioning.
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and treatment goals that align with students’ needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent support for students.
  • Provide therapy to students individually or in small groups, based on their IEPs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Document therapy sessions, assessments, and IEP goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license in Indiana.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work with students across a wide range of ages (PreK-12th grade).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
