Position Overview:

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with a variety of needs in a structured learning environment across multiple schools in Dallas area. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families to provide personalized, inclusive educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

May include any of the following, depending on specific caseload assigned:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction in both one-on-one and small group settings, ensuring all students are engaged and supported in the learning process.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify curriculum materials to support students in inclusive classrooms.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records of educational outcomes and behaviors to ensure that IEP goals are being met.
  • Support students in social, emotional, and behavioral development, utilizing positive reinforcement and individualized strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to keep them informed about student progress and collaborate on strategies for success.
  • Participate in team meetings and IEP development/review sessions, working with other educators, specialists, and school administration.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning, with clear expectations and structured routines.
  • Provide professional development and resources for school staff on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid TX Special Education Teacher License
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
