Job Title: Part-Time Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: Remote (Ohio)

Job Description:
VocoVision, a leader in providing virtual education and therapy services, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our network virtually. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that visually impaired students attending a school district in Ohio receive the high-quality, tailored instruction they need to succeed academically and socially. As part of VocoVision's virtual network, you’ll have the flexibility to teach from anywhere in Ohio, while making a significant impact on students' lives. This is a part-time position of about 4 hours a week!

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's visual needs and academic goals.
Adapt and deliver curriculum using assistive technology and specialized materials.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' educational and developmental needs are met.
Monitor and assess students’ progress, adjusting instructional techniques as necessary.
Provide training and support to students on the use of accessible technology.
Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to determine and document students’ needs.

Requirements:

Ohio state licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
Master’s degree in Special Education, Vision Impairment, or a related field.
Proven experience working with visually impaired students, preferably in a virtual setting.
Proficiency in assistive technologies, such as screen readers, Braille technology, and other accessibility tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a virtual environment.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Contract Details:

1099 contract position for 4 hours a week
Flexible hours, aligned with the school’s schedule and students' needs.
