Job Description

Cardiac Sonographer - Travel Contract
Location: Rockford, IL
Start Date: 04/07/2025
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No weekends/holidays)

Position Requirements:

  • Certifications Required:

  • ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS)

  • AHA BLS

  • Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years cardiac ultrasound experience

  • Proficiency in echocardiography (2D, Doppler, stress echoes)

  • Geographic Restriction:

  • No local candidates within 50-mile radius

    • Preparing the exam room with applicable ultrasound equipment
    • Utilizing the equipment in such a way that produces the images requested by the physician
    • Generating reports that include the results of the scan

    The requirement to become a sonographer includes an associate degree in medical technology or a related field. You may consider pursuing higher education and earning certificates from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Cardiovascular Credentialing International Organization to advance your career and salary. However, this is not a requirement.
