Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced radiation therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Kenosha, WI. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Kenosha offers a mix of scenic beauty, cultural attractions, and a welcoming community, making it a great place to live and work during your assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a radiation oncologist
  • Operate and maintain Varian True Beam and Aria systems, ensuring precise treatment delivery
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
  • Monitor patients during treatment and report any unusual reactions or concerns
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization techniques for accurate radiation delivery
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Educate patients on procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a radiation therapist
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ARRT - Radiation Therapy certification
  • Experience with:
  • Varian True Beam and Aria
  • Linear Accelerator technology
  • Administering radiation treatments

Preferred Experience:

  • Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH)
  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
