Job Description
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced radiation therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Kenosha, WI. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Kenosha offers a mix of scenic beauty, cultural attractions, and a welcoming community, making it a great place to live and work during your assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a radiation oncologist
- Operate and maintain Varian True Beam and Aria systems, ensuring precise treatment delivery
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any unusual reactions or concerns
- Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization techniques for accurate radiation delivery
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients on procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a radiation therapist
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ARRT - Radiation Therapy certification
- Experience with:
- Varian True Beam and Aria
- Linear Accelerator technology
- Administering radiation treatments
Preferred Experience:
- Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
