Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois SLP license
  • Professional Educator's License (PEL) for IL schools through ISBE
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings

Location:
Waukegan, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine student eligibility for services
  • Provide direct therapy services and support as outlined in IEPs, focusing on individual student needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including special education supervisors, psychologists, and social workers
  • Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and necessary adjustments to therapy
  • Implement Response to Intervention (RtI) strategies as part of a holistic approach to student support
