Job Description

A K-12 educational diagnostician role is available for a contract position in Prosper, TX. This opportunity involves working closely with school personnel to assess and evaluate students educational needs, helping to guide individualized learning plans and support services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students with suspected learning disabilities or other educational challenges.
  • Interpret assessment results and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop appropriate educational interventions.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports outlining student strengths, needs, and recommendations.
  • Provide expert consultation on eligibility criteria for special education services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation.
  • Monitor student progress and reassess as needed to ensure effective educational outcomes.

Desired qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Educational Diagnostician, School Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
  • Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification.
  • Experience conducting assessments and evaluations K-12.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, eligibility criteria, and special education law.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines.
